Hey I saw this discussion about the shift in reader attention spans on the writers subreddit and it got me thinking; Why fight change when you can adapt and reach a bigger audience? Writers who embrace short-form storytelling aren’t selling out; they’re being smart.
I’m currently writing my first YA novel which is something that’s quick, engaging, and easy to digest because there's a new audience of readers looking for that. If they love it, they’ll come back for more.
What do y’all think? Should writers adapt to shorter books, or stick to tradition? Let's talk about it. Also scroll to the next slide to see my in depth response.
