6 Years ago I started this channel as a mere hobby to improve my English skills and it quickly became so much more. From learning how to record, how to write video descriptions, editing my first videos and thumbnails to reading comments from real people telling me how many mistakes I made in this and that situation.
My very first video was in fact Anno 1602 and it's a place I return to from time to time to remember where it all started. With the Anno 1800 Extreme Series back in 2019 I had my breakthrough around Christmas and quickly reached the first 10k subscribers and from there I knew this is the road I will follow.
My wife supported me from the very beginning and 6 years later it's not just her anymore but two amazing little kids that keep me up at night, while our three cats make sure the vacuum cleaner always has work to do.
Youtube is - of course - a business but you can combine business with passion and I just love to wake up every day, making videos, finding ideas for new playthroughs and reading comments. It allows me to truly work by myself and for that I am extremely grateful!
How very fitting that I had my breakthrough 6 years ago with Anno 1800 and right with its successor a new chapter begins. Onwards to many more let's plays!
