"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
2 Corinthians 4:18:
"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
3 Ephesians 6:12:
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
4 Philippians 1:6:
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
5. 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
6. Hebrews 4:12:
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
7. Revelation 1:6:
"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
(This verse has so much resonance:
And it is a revelation within a revelation: Revelation 5:10:
"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.")
8. Matthew 4:4:
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God."
9. Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
10. Romans 7:18-19:
"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."
But here are two verses of the New Testament I would love to add: Corinthians 13 through the whole chapter about love and Galatians 5: 23 about the fruit of the Spirit.
What would you add?
There is a lot of great verses to think about in the New Testament; It is a well known fact; You must have the attitude and habit to be do the work of the LABOR OF LOVE: It's very hard to LOVE; Sometimes it's also very hard to laugh:
