Doesn't matter what year it is or who's president. DCA evey month religiously and you'll retire sooner than you think!!!

The market is going to do what the market is going to do! I've attempted to predict by studying trends, patterns, history, news - and come to the conclusion that the Market has a mind of its own. Any significant event can spin it in the opposite direction. I'm now more focused on having a balanced portfolio that can grow in the good times, and maintain some sanity (via value dividend ETF, CDs, etc), in the crazy times. Actually, the Bond fund (BND), I bought in 2021, to provide security for my portfolio, has had more loss than any other fund in my portfolio.

I worry that the markets can understand tariffs and will digest, but the Russian war impact is not contemplated yet (and that will adversely impact the markets until Russia falls).

I’m still DCA SCHD, have 4,904.55 shares, 8 shares of VOO, 157 shares of SCHG with $13,836 down. Let’s go.

After 2 consecutive years of 20+ percent growth, I think we need to see healthy correction before we move forward to future positive years. Either way, I am buying consistently. I’m more dividend focused, so buy the dip and DRIP the divvies.

I bet we see a typical 8-9% return in SPY / VOO by EoY

Still invest and keep more shares of different assets despite of what challenges we face.

Tech sectors will be up due to growing business and Govt Spending

@Andre92426

If price of index funds go down, the dividend you reinvest gets you a larger additional share (Even if it’s fractional) And as long as we do not sell the shares, there is no realized gain

The chance on it not being negative is 69%

I’d be happy with a wash year because I do think we’ll end up in a down year but who knows. I buy weekly either way so keep passively buying and investing and stop reading the news and enjoy life 😎

Crap. This poll reveals we'll be in a bad recession by Q4. People are always wrong.
