The market is going to do what the market is going to do! I've attempted to predict by studying trends, patterns, history, news - and come to the conclusion that the Market has a mind of its own. Any significant event can spin it in the opposite direction. I'm now more focused on having a balanced portfolio that can grow in the good times, and maintain some sanity (via value dividend ETF, CDs, etc), in the crazy times. Actually, the Bond fund (BND), I bought in 2021, to provide security for my portfolio, has had more loss than any other fund in my portfolio.

I worry that the markets can understand tariffs and will digest, but the Russian war impact is not contemplated yet (and that will adversely impact the markets until Russia falls).

After 2 consecutive years of 20+ percent growth, I think we need to see healthy correction before we move forward to future positive years. Either way, I am buying consistently. I’m more dividend focused, so buy the dip and DRIP the divvies.

If price of index funds go down, the dividend you reinvest gets you a larger additional share (Even if it’s fractional) And as long as we do not sell the shares, there is no realized gain

I’d be happy with a wash year because I do think we’ll end up in a down year but who knows. I buy weekly either way so keep passively buying and investing and stop reading the news and enjoy life 😎

Crap. This poll reveals we'll be in a bad recession by Q4. People are always wrong.
