# MashTec

Hi,
i'm sorry to say that i have to postpone the current video i've been working on where i wanted to guide you through a new Tool to customize your SF200 or GB300.
Not just that it supports both devices, the SF2000 and GB300, but also allows to change Multicore settings such as the overall aspect ratio for emulators or easily apply the Screen Tearin fix.
For this video i was looking into The SF200 + GB300 Tool, Tadpole and a promising new tool called Madpole (a Tadpole fork that also supports Multicore).
Unfortunately, every tool came with downsides and i was hoping to give you an easy tool to the hand to handle all together. Still here is the outcome of my investigations so far:

"TADPOLE" is great for stock devices to add new games and thumbnails, change the bootlogo, menu theme or background music, button mapping and to apply firmware updates or cruscial fixes such as for the Bootloader or Battery.

The "SF2000 and GB300 Tool" is great for devices with Multicore installed. You can add new games and their Thumbnails, button mapping or change Multicore settings such as aspect ratio for emulators or apply the Screen Tearin fix for the SF2000. Still there is no way to change Menu Themes or Background music.

"MADPOLE" is the most promising tool of the three. It combines the power of both tools mentioned above. As a fork of Tadpole, Madpole comes with all basic customizations such as add new games and thumbnails, change the bootlogo, menu theme or background music, button mapping and to apply firmware updates or cruscial fixes such as for the Bootloader or Battery. The perfect tool for the SF200 and GB300.

While i've been making the video and recorded the neccessary steps in the tool it kept crashing, so i decided to postpone the video about it and wait for a later version that is more stable and worth to show it to you guys.
Still, if you like to have a look meanwhile, i posted the links to these tools. I will come up with a video about them in future :)

If I may make a suggestion, a video on installing individual cores would be great. It's never really been clear to me what I should do with the files that are included in the zip. There's also Leonardo's nightly build which again, I have no idea what to overwrite and what affect it will have on the system/emulators. As far as I know, it's never been explained in laymen's terms. Just a thought. Anyway thank you for the helpful videos!

You are doing God's work guiding poor souls in the pathway of life and emulation. May the force be with you. 🎮

I have to run Tadpole as admin to get it to work. I've also had to re-download Madpole to get it to work which makes no sense. I think Windows 10 is blocking it or something. GB300/Sf2000 Tool seems to be the most stable on my end. The two devs are really active on Discord, it might be worth asking them about the crashing.
