Looks down at her coffee cup with the spill proof lid and contemplates her trust issues. 😉

I love this “bumped into you analogy “You can choose what fills your cup. If you intentionally fill your cup with kindness, patience, and love, that's what will come out when you are tested😊✨💫

Hmm . . . When you squeeze an orange . . . what comes out? Why is that ? As Wayne Dyer said, “What comes out is what’s inside. The same logic applies to you. When someone squeezes you, puts pressure on you, or says something unflattering or critical, and out of you comes anger, hatred, bitterness, tension, depression, or anxiety, that is what's inside. If love and joy are what you want to give and receive, change your life by changing what's inside.”

Its a curious analogy. I know its not taken from this but In the olden days "drinking from ones cup" meant facing one's destiny or a painful necessity. "except I drink from this cup" meant unless I do this and "to pass the cup" meant to avoid it. Hence in the Bible Jesus falling down (or falling "on his face") and praying to God on the evening of the crucifixion "Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me,......if not, thy will be done, not mine"......But in the quote you've given she's used it in a different way almost to mean how ones character or choices become ones destiny and how it affect others which is quite meaningful and true in its own way I think. Good quote.

I’ve been shaken so much recently, and I don’t want to let resentment spill out because I know it’s poison. My psych professor just falsely accused me of academic dishonesty , and didn’t apologize when I proved her wrong. My manager at work stopped scheduling me after making it clear she thinks I’m too neurodivergent to be good at retail. I know I can’t let them occupy space in my head rent-free. I will respond with radical acceptance, and I even have that phrase tattooed as a reminder.

Lovely analogy! Do you know who wrote it? I think most of my cup is filled on the daily and can depend on how much sleep I've had and how many other times I've been bumped that day 😅 The dregs can be bitter, unfortunately
