Day 4 of reviewing BFDI episodes until Silksong comes out: S1 E4 "Sweet Tooth"
There's a 0.629% chance that Silksong will come out tomorrow, and growing!

Thoughts—

This episode was a fun one, and I really liked it. The only thing is... where was the music!? Maybe it was part of the April Fool's prank, similar to the beginning of the episode faking a cancellation, but either way, that takes the episode down a few pegs.

Cake at Stake:
This CAS was pretty good, all things considered. It had some funny jokes and bits, and overall, I think it was done well. The elimination of Blocky so early is a bit sad but deserved. We never really got to know his character until later in the series, so it's something that was bound to happen.

Challenge:
Today's challenge was to bake a cake. Honestly, not that creative, but incredibly well done. The entire thing was held back by, as I mentioned earlier, the lack of music, but it was otherwise pretty good. Somehow, it didn't turn out as boring as I thought it would.

If I'm being honest, not a lot happens except for Coiny being confirmed to be a penny, or Leafy potentially faking his friendliness, so that doesn't fare well for the episode. I think they knew that there wasn't much to do with this challenge idea, hence why there's a time skip to the end of the challenge. Not much to say, really.

However, I do have to give credit to Snowball's line mid-episode:
"Making cakes without recipes is almost as bad as making a cake out of TWO METAL BALLS!"
It's absolutely Snowball-esque to say that, and I'm glad we got that line. It's hilarious.

Losers:
It ended up being a tie, but then it was a double tie from the chocolate balls eating contest. So, they had to break neckties for a second tiebreaker. It was kinda funny, but the situation will happen a second time in the series. Self-referential humor isn't always funny, and this is treading the line between funny and unfunny; good the first time, bad the second, awful the third. Either way, the Squishy Cherries lost, making the teams even again.

Overall:
A pretty mid episode, all things considered. Straight out of the water, I'm giving it a C-tier rating. It had some hilarious lines, but that was pretty much the only thing holding it up. Need I say more?
