This will show you how to make a 6 inch Round and 8 Inch Round Deep Light cake that rises beautifully but barely domes leaving a lovely flat layer with only the crust to cut away, No baking belts needed.

This is the main recipe I have used for the past decade, it has been altered over the years until it was just right for me. I like to bake a couple of deep cakes that can easily be cut in half so you end up with four layers rather than using four cake pans, more time, more washing up to bake 4 thin layers.
