Anyone tried converting a Mandolin to a Mandolele?
I bought an inexpensive mandolin, tuned it to G3 C4 E4 A4 (low G ukulele tuning), and followed some YouTube setup tips on a video "How to Make a Cheap Mandolin Sound Better". It’s looking sharp but still sounding a bit flat after an hour of tuning—Ha! Strings will settle with time. The challenge was the floating bridge and getting it in the right position. If you’ve tried this, I’d love to hear your tips and song suggestions!
