Personally, I think a robot pet can be fun and convenient, especially for those who can’t care for a real animal, but it will never replace the emotional bond a real pet provides.

Where is the "having both" option? I love my living pets and nothing could ever replace them, but I also think it would be neat to have a robot pet 😄

I love my two cats, nothing could purr, pounce and cuddle like they do. Maybe for an elderly person because a robotic pet would be easier to care for and not be able to be unintentionally abused or neglected.
