It’s obviously Cassie after hit DLC FNAF SB Ruin (the elevator crash sent her so far into the future she looped around back into the past).

I really liked candi bunnis theory that the creature in the messages was tiger and the employee locked down there hid in the nightlight costume because tiger can't attack them in the light

I don't know why some people are calling him "Nightlight" or where the name came from? His name is Sleepy Moon. It literally appears at the end of the credits of the game he's voiced by the voice actor of Edwin & Mr. Helpful. Also, I think Sleepy Moon is the starved employee all the connections makes sense to me.

OBJECTION! M1 never says sleepy moon voicelines and sleepy moon doesn't even sound robotic to begin with!

Im actually kind of surprised the starved employee theory won by such a large margin. That section of the game feels significant, snd it just being some random employee feels a bit out of place, even if its supported by the text logs

Starved Employee is a fun Easter egg. Edwin is a cool horror twist. M1 opens up the most future story-telling.

If it sounds like the employee If it looks like the employee If the major evidence that doesn't require theories points towards the employee It is probably the employee

I think it's the starved employee, is the first technically "haunted" thing in the franchise, and that that is what inspires William to chase immortality through Anguish and Agony and Remnant so fervently and why Nightlight is so important to the Lore. But I also think there's more to the story- like maybe the employee was the costume actor, but couldn't see very well through the thing when it glowed, and fell through the hole in the floor. It being so big cushioned him from the fall, but the elevator wouldn't let him back up..... I also like the Tiger Rock theory- where a night shift guard gets chased into the suit because it can glow and chase the spirit away- but also got stuck and suffered the same fate...

Definitely M1. Pretty sure that candy cadet story about the monster in the basement that learned the lullaby is referring to it. With the ball down there i think David went down there instead of the playground and got crushed by the giant moon.

Personally I believe it's the starved employees agony and or remnant. I doubt they'd still be alive by the time Arnold gets there in December 1979. I think Candi bunnies theory was close but he would have passed in the suit at some point and possessed it.

The question is, according to Fazbear, there was only one movement signature recognised in the factory. We thought it had to be the mimic, but I think they were actually scanning moon and the mimic wasn't actually active at all, before we came down. Also, I'm more convinced, that it's actually M1 or the Babysitter AI as you could call it. And yes, I think M1's body had most of the Fiona Remnants removed and transferred into F10-N4, but the babysitter protocol remained.

I can almost positively say that there is something mechanical inside of Nightlight, the sound design is important

It can’t be M1 because why is he violent? The reason M2 is violent is because of Edwin breaking its legs so then when did M1 learn violence???
