My family was crazy. I loved the calm and honesty of my school k-12.

I hated it from the day I started until I graduated. I had nightmares for years that the school would call and say there had been a mistake and I had to go back

I had the "teacher from hell" in 5th grade. It has been 50 years ago and it is still upsetting to think about.

The worst time of my life. I was that quiet kid who was bullied since elementary school. All the teachers believed that I was autistic and didn't even try to stop my classmates.

Mostly no. My parents used to shift jobs therefore had to be in different places. There was only once place where I enjoyed my 8th and 9th grade. Had great friends. Great teachers.

I am 65, but in those days , teachers were teachers.... Anyone in my school who bullies anyone was hauled up on stage the very next day by the headmaster. If information got back to the school that you had been fighting , even outta school days and hours , the head made it his business...... The good thing about it was, you always felt safe. You could hear a pin drop in assembly each morning....Good days........

Even though my school didn't have a good reputation, the classmates were okay and there were a lot of good teachers there. Today I have a desk job and fondly remember my time at that school.

Sometimes but was glad to get out. I was realistic enough from an early age to only learn what I thought would be of use later in life. I used to get the "could do better if he applied himself" on report cards. My dad understood my point of view. I did well at subjects I thought would be of use. In my adult life I ended up teaching myself a lot of things that I wanted to become proficient at.
