Happy New year everyone!

If you’re just starting out, welcome aboard!

Do you have any new year’s resolutions? More practice time perhaps?

If you’ve been learning piano for a little while, whilst it may still feel like you have a mountain to climb, it’s a good time to reflect on what you have achieved so far. If you sit and think about it, I bet there’s plenty things that you can do now with relative ease that once felt impossible. I bet there’s things you can learn now in a fraction of the time it would have take you previously. Achievements in playing piano can often creep up on you gradually and we’re often so busy focused on the next thing that we don’t notice them.

Remember that if you just keep at it, whatever feels difficult today will feel much easier a little way down the road. By that point, you’ll be learning something new or playing at a different level so you’ll forget that you even found it hard today.
