Chasing the light 😼 Some stills from on of my previous videos. Which shot is your favorite? 📸
Hello my dear followers, I apologize for my long abstinence from social media. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well as I was suffering from depression. The last few months have been very difficult for me, but also enlightening. I started taking medication for my depression, which unfortunately had severe side effects and threw my everyday life even more out of balance. I developed insomnia and was sometimes awake for 60 hours. About 2 weeks ago, I came across a YouTube video that gave me a new boost. The term depression was always too general for me. In this video, I heard about “imposter syndrome” for the first time. A symptom that I had never heard of once in a total of 10 years of therapy. Everything applied 100% to me.
Here are a few examples of the thoughts of affected people:
“In reality, I’m only where I am now by luck and chance. I’m actually totally incompetent. I just hope no one notices.”
“What I’m doing isn’t good enough. I feel like I’m starting from scratch every time.”
“I can’t enjoy my achievements, what I didn’t achieve yet determines my thoughts.”
This realization has helped me to find an approach to focus my new therapy. At the end of the day, I have to appreciate that I can do my dream job and I will manage the rest.
BTW. Fritz is doing great! And the other cats anyway. Thank you for your loyalty and support! 🫶
Can’t wait to show you everything I created in the last months. 📸😻
