In Memory of September 11, 2001

On September 11, 2001, four passenger jets—American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, both Boeing 767s departing from Boston, American Airlines Flight 77, a Boeing 757 from Washington Dulles, and United Airlines Flight 93, a Boeing 757 from Newark—were hijacked and turned into weapons of terror. Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center, followed by Flight 175 crashing into the South Tower; Flight 77 was flown into the Pentagon, while Flight 93, after the heroic resistance of its passengers and crew, came down in a Pennsylvania field before reaching its intended target. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, among them airline passengers, flight crews, first responders, and civilians, yet amid the tragedy the world witnessed courage, sacrifice, and unity. Today, these flight numbers echo in history not only as markers of loss but as reminders of resilience and the enduring human spirit.

We will never forget.
