One of the reasons we don't have universal healthcare is because keeping people sick and dealing with their chronic conditions and also elongating end-of-life care makes the most money. Americans' health deteriorating is like a battery for part of our economy. If people were constantly healthy and only going for wellness checkups or rare complications then we couldn't keep them medicated and scheduling their next diagnostics to "find out what exactly is the problem."

A very frightening read. Without insurance up to the 610k, the patient would be broke.

That's crazy. I could buy a house or a condo here with that amount.

I am thankful not to be an american citizen for this reason. So what if america is the richest country in the world? One medical incident can set you back to live a miserable life. The system is only designed to work for the rich and to keep them ahead of the rest.

i see you are beginning to see the gigantic scam.. the biggest ever device in the history of world economic.. call the US GDP fraud.. but this is just a very small tip of an iceberg.. the US is not the biggest economy in the world.. its the biggest Ponzi scheme on the planet.. when they finally crash.. it will take them at least a century to recover.. American will sleep.. when she is awaken.. the Rattle snake is will have no poison to kill..
