Just started you as a web developer last October and your Wordpress courses have helped me a ton. I also have just started with ACF and Gutenberg and itβs very powerful. Really looking forward to this. Thanks for your content and I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. :)

Sounds great. AFC is so undervalued for theme development. So many use it to add some data into the front end, but it's far more than just that. The last few agencies I have worked for have all used AFC as a theme builder. My last one used classic editor, ACF, SASS, and a flexbox grid for all their custom themes. With reusable common blocks and a Flexible Content Field (I know you have a video on this) replacing Gutenberg. It's going to be interesting to see how close this comes to what I have created and used in the past.

Your first WordPress theme course was a game changer for me. It helped me on my way to change career in a time where I was desperate. This time last year I was watching your videos. I'm now a PHP developer and pretty well-versed in PHP & WordPress, and it all started with your videos. I can't thank you enough. ACF Blocks are great - though a learning curve for anyone new. I look forward to watching your new videos to see if I can pick up any tricks. It would be great in future if you could do a Wordpress Freelance tips video. But great to have you back on YouTube!!!

Thanks so much for the content you've put out already! Your ACF playlist has to be the best guide around even after all this time. No pressure but looking forward to seeing what you're going to come up with π

Thank you so much for sharing the plans to get back. Wow, I am really surprised at this 'custom page builder' concept. yes please do create the playlist. Just a favor to ask: please cmplete the custom plugin dev playlist post the AJAX video as we were really looking forward to it. Your way of teaching is great and to stop midway with learning something as important as WP plugin dev is disheartening. But yeah your work life balance too needs a sincere consideration. :) Welcome back Mr. Digital. You were missed.

Mr Digital
Sorry everyone, it's been ages since I've posted anything. I feel really bad. It's partly because my main job (self employed) is web development and it's really hard to find the time to put up decent content without rushing things whilst working on client projects.
That being said, I've spent a bit of time mucking around with Gutenberg (reluctantly) and ACF (ACF is probably the number one plugin for any WordPress Developers toolkit).. however, I am pleasantly surprised. These two combined will allow you to easily build your own blocks without mucking around with React.
You'll be able to essentially create your own page builder which you can see the same website on the backend and front end. It's really a game changer.. (and that's coming from someone who has loathed Gutenberg and reverted to Classic Editor for every project)
In the next few weeks I'll be releasing a new, latest WordPress Theme from Scratch using ACF and Gutenberg, with Bootstrap 5, SASS. I'll be building a theme, building custom blocks in ACF and creating a real world website, as well as sending it live.
Feel free to post any suggestions of different types of blocks I can create part of this theme!
Have a great weekend!
