Summary: *VTOL smokes ESC, HeeWing's EdwardRC and BuddyRC's Dan "Superman" W. step in and make it right. And upgrade me to the new hotness*
Sadly, the Ranger lost an FX-20A ESC last night, from the VTOL Conversion Kit; rest in peace little fella. Nothing obvious led to the failure; never crashed, clean install, 4 boring flawless flights. But during the 5th takeoff, in QLoit, 3 feet up, the the left motor started chug-chug-chugging, and the bird flipped. No damage at all! Unfortunately though, things got very complicated from here in such a cool way!
I immediately reached out to HeeWing; I didn't think they'd warranty it, but hopeful they'd lead me in the right direction. A young pro by the name of Edward, (I'll come back to this) immediately hit me back with troubleshooting tips and advised me to contact the place I bought it from, in this case BuddyRC, (I'll come back to this too). He then hit me with the bad news, the FX-20A ESCs the VTOL Conversion kit I bought have been superseded be the new FX-25A.
My thinking "well even if I get support, the ESC is off the market, I'll give up..." poor me oh noooo waahhh ~¿~
