China for political reasons, have overstated their population for decades.. in part local politicians do this, to allow extra party funding for their region. The one child rule (now defunct) pushed a greater bias to birthing boys over girls and the current demographic now does not have enough equilibrium. Many more reasons are to play too, which is of great concern to the PRC

Its a mess, specially in metro cities, drving has to be either early morning or late night, road accidents tops charts, cars literally crawls like snails. Malls overcrowded on weekends. Gosh. I live in a capital in a very posh area which is less populated snd still it feels a mess
