It's my pleasure to announce that: www.retailrng.com/ ...is finally live and released to the public!
This was a collaborative effort between @imablisy and myself to create up-to-date and easy-to-follow text guides for RNG manipulating Pokemon games on real hardware, without using an custom firmware, cheating devices, or emulator assisted tools.
The goal was to make it approachable to complete newcomers, structured and organized by difficulty.
To start, we only have the GBA-era games ready, but the other generations will be filling up soon!
The most exciting advancement is in the methods and tools for FireRed and LeafGreen. While blisy has handled the website's backend, structure, and look & feel, I've been focused on writing guides and making improvements to Lincoln's web-based tools for Retail FRLG specifically.
It's really a massive step forward in terms of accessibility, and I can't thank Lincoln enough for helping me get these web-tools over the finish line.
I hope you'll give them a try!
We've also got a roadmap of our future plans on the Ko-Fi for the website:
We're going to be using Ko-Fi banners right now instead of ads, but that could change in the future (banner ads, no crowd funding).
Goal with this is to add a joint revenue stream outside of youtube, with the hopes to be able to use these funds to pay other contributors to the website for guides.
Please have a look around the site, and let us know what you think. Both feedback-wise insofar as the readability of the guides, the navigation, etc...
Expect more updates soon and videos to go a long with the new gudies.
