Members of this church are upset with their Pastors new rules. This is the sign on the door. Would you stay or leave?

Militaries, Work facilities, Dining areas are governed by rules. So, it's about time the church starts practicing some.

I see nothing wrong with the request. I would feel very comfortable there. I love standards. As a woman, I believe that I have the liberty to wear pants. But I do not wear pants to Church. It is a respect issue for me. If you don't see it that way, that is your outlook. I have no will to debate. I am stating my convictions.

He must have seen a need to change the dress code.

Cultural traditions do not equal holiness.

If the Holy Spirit led the Head of the Church to give those instructions, so be it! The Holy Spirit will give confirmation within our Spirit, so I'll stay as long as its all GOD!

Absolutely stay. Standards is a great base for a Holy foundation.

If your job posted the same sign, would you stay or leave? This church has a standard of dress...either you respect and follow the rules of the house, or you leave. And please note that the sign says ALL MEMBERS, so this does not pertain to visitors or guests. So I'm sure they make prospective members aware of the dress code before JOINING. Besides, if you don't like their house rules, there are plenty of other churches to choose from.🤷🏽‍

I would most definitely check this church out. When I was a child all of the churches where I’m from had these guidelines.

There was a difference and church was serious. You dress appropriately for whatever gets you a paycheck but get upset about what helps you in your spiritual relationship with God. Get that eternal life!

Standards MUST be maintained

I see nothing wrong. If GOD calls someone to this church, then follow the order set by the Pastor. If not, attend another ministry. It's that simple.

Don't like the church ordinance? Find another church. I love when Pastors aren't afraid to make a firm stance. Wish there were more Pastors like this.

It's all about teaching holiness. If the Spirit of God gave this mandate, then its Spirit led for the more seasoned saints. A standard has to be lifted up. Just as well as salvation starts at the heart, the outer appearance catches up as we grow in God. . . from faith to faith and glory to glory. The hearing the Word of God brings faith, and He the Holy Ghost is a guide and teacher of all things.

The priests in the Old Testament had a dress code, and in the New Testament, we are called a royal priesthood. I feel part of the falling away is our lack of reverence for God, the house of God, and our representation of holiness. Come as you are, but don't stay as you are. Especially if you are in ministry. I believe the sign said members, which says to me he is a pastor holding up a standard for what should be Christians growing in Christ.
