There's a reason why I rarely give films a 0/10. Because rarely do I see a film that actively angers me or gives me less than nothing for cinema as a whole. If a movie is a 1/10, that means that A. it more bored me than anything, B. it had one or two small things that kept it from being absolutely irredeemable or C. I can at least have a laugh at it on an ironic sense.
The reason why I say this is because I have on occasion retracted a 0/10 for one reason or another.
For example, I've retracted Sausage Party's 0/10 because it at least tried with its message against intolerance, even if the worldbuilding and humor aren't up to par.
More recently, I retract Catwoman and Madame Web's 0/10 because I can at least laugh at how poor the overall filmmaking is, especially in an era where superhero films are seen as pristine as any other genre.
The Boss Baby: Family Business, arguably my arch nemesis, I officially retract my 0/10 because at least the younger sister was somewhat likable, and because I could make an argument that both A Troll in Central Park and Saving Bikini Bottom are more of the epitome of what's wrong with children's media.
Point is, there's always a reason why I give a 0/10 and don't just give it out willy nilly. I treat it like Roger Ebert treated it and only save it for special occasions.
