I wonder how many people commenting on this bit of news have ever spent time in FRANCE. I have. Been to France 3 times. In fact, I was last in Paris 5 months ago and, frankly, the French have the best work-life balance of any modern nation on Earth. I wish we had it that good here in the U.S. (I think the French will get a handle on the present debt crisis there.)

california wanted to do this. actually other states did also but the government made a law against it over 20 years ago. michigan tried to do it to me years ago but i had kept the law in writing that said they couldn't. they had to pay me back.
