What an incredible journey it has been! As the Organising Secretary for AFPICON Karnataka 2025 – 5th State Conference - Family Medicine Update, I am filled with immense pride reflecting on the success of this pivotal event. Our theme, "At Every Stage, At Every Age: Family Medicine Transforming Women and Child Health," truly resonated, embodying the core of our mission.

A special thank you to Dr. C.N. Manjunath, MP of Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituency, who graced us with his presence and inaugurated the event during our ceremony on August 3rd!

Steering this conference was a privilege, and the positive feedback has been overwhelming. We successfully brought together passionate specialists for a rich experience on August 2nd and 3rd.

Under my role, and in collaboration with the dedicated Scientific Committee, where I also served as a member, we ensured a program packed with:
• Structured workshops, including vital sessions on Clinical Examination and Procedural Skills, Point of Care Ultrasound, and Emergency Medicine for Primary Care.
• Quality panel discussions on topics ranging from women's health and integrative medicine to cord blood preservation and child adoption.
• Insightful lectures and numerous oral paper presentations and poster presentations, fostering critical knowledge exchange.

The Karnataka Medical Council awarded 3 credit hours for the event, a testament to its high standards and valuable content.

The benefits brought by this conference are truly transformative:

• We've helped family physicians stay updated with enriched knowledge sharing from experienced peers and experts.
• The goal was for attendees to leave as more confident family physicians, ready to guide and take care of patients from birth to the end of life care.
• By focusing on women and child health, we've emphasized how family medicine bridges gaps, eliminates disparities, and fosters lifelong wellness.
• We've collectively reflected on our practice, embracing both latest technology and traditional scientifically proven methods to empower our women and children physically and mentally, thereby creating a healthy society.
• The collaborative spirit encouraged us to recommit to strengthening the pillars of family medicine, championing policies, research, and practices that prioritize equity, accessibility, and dignity in care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at St. John's Medical College, Bengaluru! Let's continue forging strong patient-doctor relationships and creating healthier communities, "Every stage, Every age".
