Always funny to see otherwise unpolitical people break into tears when Disco Elysium calls them a centrist

Half-light: trivial success “Boring? Did they just call you BORING? You would rather DIE than be a boring bump on a log. COMMUNISM IT IS, GRAB THE FIRING SQUADS.”

Me getting this as my first achievement and realizing I had not been reading the political situation of the game in depth enough to form an opinion so I kept picking middle ground options in order not to expose myself on not knowing 😂 I ended up restarting and reading shit properly to form an opinion after that lma

Getting this achievement made me realize that I have an intense fear of conflict and that I need to work on that

You got this achievement because you're a fence sitter, I got it because I love Disco Elysium and want to see everything it has to offer. We are not the same.

@dalkay

I got this by role playing him as someone obsessively just trying to solve the case as his only stable lifeline and not caring about anything else.

Disco Elysium is great because it has genuinely helped me track the trajectory of my life. When I first played it 3 years ago I was a Centrist Sorry-Cop and now, earlier this year in my 2nd playthrough, I was a Communist Superstar-Cop. Truly, we are murals of every decision we’ve ever made.

@Jorg13

I got this on my first playthrough because I was actually trying to roleplay the detective and agreeing or being neutral with everyone so it would get them to talk more

I think the ultimate achievement you get with it is "somebody really should do something about this" haha

I did get this one because my strategy was to not let anyone know about harry not knowing shit and to not piss anyone off and the middle ground tends to get people to give you more explanation without yelling. Which I think is why they have the loading screen tip that tells you to take more risks. so I rarely used my own politics

It must be their unwieldy resolve to do absolutely nothing that brings up so much emotion.

When the game called me a sorry cop i started being the biggest douchebag in revachol, every conversation i started with "I AM THE LAW", ngl, the most in character that i ever felt in a game.

Disco Elysium was a difficult game for me to play at first, because I have a hard time picking nasty or overly strange dialogue options - my irl people-pleaser tendencies transferring to games. So I always ended up picking the centrist option because I didn't want to bother [most of] the characters, and this stupid little achievement genuinely helped me push past that and start experimenting more with my dialogue picks lol
