I think software compatibility is one of the biggest concerns of us linux illiterates. So a video about software alternatives and compatibility layers might be the push I need to try it out.

In a previous life I was in IT, sometimes Linux was the best option for certain projects (esp server side and you wanted reliability, cost effectiveness and security) IIRC, the file system was the biggest hurdle for most newer people. When I dabbled, everything was treated and addressed basically the same way.. files, hardware devices, executable's.. which is great, but like learning a new language. DOS was hard enough for a lot of people, add in case sensitive commands and filenames and you have a big "NOPE" from people used to micro$oft dumbing everything down for us. (Talking Windows 3.0 here.. I'm that old. Actually, the first PC I played with was a VIC20... really old) So basically the ramble above is .. Maybe file system and structure is worth a look at?

Hardware requirements: As far as I heard there are no drivers for Nvidia graphic cards. Is there anything else to keep in mind when building a machine?

As much as new users fear it, you'd be remiss not to provide an overview of working in the terminal.
