Russia looks like a stable, safe & more welcoming destination than the UK. They have a long, proud history & are not our enemy. When the Soviet Union ceased, my town had a youth football tournament. I got drunk for days with the Spartak Moscow coaches & we all got on great! A great bunch of lads.

For our good community information - Russia is not the Soviet Union of old. Russia is not as western media portrays - Russia has much more relaxed free speech laws, the country is Orthodox Christian and proud of that, but has developed a fantastic multicultural system in the East... Just visit South Korea, Japan, Goa, Bali, Vietnam and you will bump into FREE Russians having a great time like you would see British in Spain, or Americans in London, UK... Visit Sochi in Russia on the Black Sea coast, and you will experience as good as any Riviera in the West, and many Russians having a great fun packed holiday in the former Winter Olympics resort - the one in which it was summer in Sochi so they had to create fake snow on the mountains. 😂
Plus my GF is Russian... so... I will be beaten with rubber bars and left with no facial injuries showing if I say otherwise. 😱🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂🤣🇬🇧🕊🙏
