I just saw it today!!! I loved it and considering how beloved Toy Story is, I'm surprised my theater wasn't that full, there were only about maybe like 15 people in the theater total... Crazy.

Honestly, I don’t have any high hopes for Toy Story 5 because Toy Story 4 ruined the whole franchise in my opinion (mostly because of the plot and character developments).

Glad you enjoyed it! Personally I think the story itself is well done but I have always had a personal hatred for this film because I hate CG animation and this was literally the start of killing 2D films. Parents took me to see it in theaters 30 years ago when I was 3 and it just wasn't for me. I felt the same way about Shrek and monsters Inc, pretty much everything from Pixar and DreamWorks and all the ones that came after. Again, not a dig at the writing or acting, just the animation.

When I saw this post 2 days ago I remembered that Toy Story was being brought back to theaters I went to see it yesterday I’ll probably go see it next week also.

Toy Story remains my all time favorite movie. I had a blast seeing it in theaters for the first time in 2023 at a retro AMC. Now that it's been re-released again for the 30th anniversary, I wanted to watch it again. This time, at my local Regal Cinema. It was a fantastic movie back in 1995, and it's still a fantastic movie today in 2025.
If you live near a local movie theater, and they're playing Toy Story. I highly recommend seeing it in theaters. Can't wait to see what Toy Story 5 brings to the table.
