It’s amazing that what we’re fed and what is the truth are so totally different I believe that the teacher I had for ancient history back in the late 70s and just history were taught today every teacher would be fired 😓 Thank You 🙏🏾 Mr. Ivory for my true introduction in 9th grade to history true history and giving us open discussions debate and critical thinking about how other cultures see us in reality I don’t think today as a history teacher any of us would have known that Japan was the last place to be colonized most people don’t even know that right now and it’s so funny when things we were taught I thought was everyday people have no clue about 🙏🏾

An excellent book indeed — not only for its accuracy in portraying Europeans as the underdeveloped, backward, lagging society, but also for showing us that the Islamic empires were not a unified bloc, but rather plagued by intrigue and backstabbing in the struggle for succession to the throne.
