Wow! What a surprisingly good end to The Legend Of Monkey Island trilogy!
This tall tale has proven itself to be by far that best of the three: From unexpectedly seeing the bootleg “Black Pearl” being captained by Guybrush, to the whole of Monkey Island itself with it’s very enjoyable and clever puzzles that it had to offer, and through The Catacombs to the final boss with LeChuck and his ship, and finally back to Melee Island with one more showdown with LeChuck himself!
Over all, this is easily the best out of the three in my opinion, as it brings almost everything together impressively in one single tall tale!
Biggest downside I’ve found out of the entirety is the sheer amount of captaincy trinkets as rewards, with The Burning Blade being the only non-trinket item to earn, which makes it the best one.
Except of course for the title and especially the Monkey Island Sea Shanty! Which I unfortunately could not get either of them due to getting the glitch that has them still locked despite completing every commendations in all three tall tales. But hopefully it will be fixed soon!
Coming to the conclusion, I thank rare for giving us such a unique trilogy of tall tales full of awesome puzzles and a very fun and intriguing story, and has helped me learn more about the Monkey Island franchise then I ever thought I would!
