Hand rolls are unbelievably underrated. Using them provides a surprising amount of value. I believe they will make their way into the meta soon. Nigiri however, is still a very solid option and still provides great value

I'd say cut into thin slices (sahimi), but the sushi rolls are second best

In Japan, handrolls don't usually have that much rice. and the sushi roll you showed is the American version, Japan never has rice on the outside

I love the simple flavor of a nigiri sushi, and done right it could be delicious

Nigiri sushi for sure. It’s the best texture, just that soft bite with no resistance is perfect.

I dont like big pieces of sushi that I cant eat in one go so my favorite are sushi rolls and to be more specific maki sushi. They are small and easy to eat.
