I prefer longer woodworking content almost 100% of the time, whether I'm watching on AppleTV or my phone before bed. I'd prefer the TV, of course, but sometimes easier to watch the phone.

I'm in my late 50s, and a fellow woodworker. I prefer longer content, but not much more than 20-25 or so minutes. I have the attention span, but not the time, to sit and watch an hour and a half at once.

I prefer longer format videos, and without obnoxious sound effects added. Sometimes I am busy so I listen to a video and rewatch the parts I need. Other times, I will watch from start to finish.

I'm 69. I watch to learn. Not terribly interested in tool reviews. I have most of the tools anyone could want, and now starting into turning (what a money pit 🤣). Techniques are always of interest. I can now joint a board multiple ways. Don't always use a jointer anymore. Sometimes it feels better using shims in the router fence when my back isn't up to balancing an eight foot board on the infeed table of the jointer. Sometimes it's easier to change out a table saw blade for a flat top grind and cut a couple dadoes. Faster, too. Doesn't mean I don't use the router table, just means I can do a one time dado faster than I can set up a router. Both get the job done. My shop isn't pretty. I have tools literally crammed into a 27' x 7' covered patio. But everything is on wheels. I have to quit making sawdust if I want to do finish work. I have to plan out every move with each piece of equipment for accessibility during a project. Still... I'm in the shop more often than not using tools I have and techniques I have learned over the thirty-some years. When I hug a tree, I'm really guesstimating board feet. So...I don't care how long or short you talk. Just show me something I can use, OK?

Personally I prefer at least occasional project builds. Can only handle so many top 5 tips/jigs/tools/etc video.

Your videos are what I like to watch before bed on my phone for new ideas in the shop…then when I get to the shop I’ll flip them on the television in there. So either way, I’ll still watch whichever.

The ads are shorter on my phone than when I watch YouTube on my Apple TV or PC. So more likely to watch something borderline interesting to me.

You have the talent and skill set to put out 30 minute (at least) content. I like and enjoy watching you on your channel. You always have something to teach.

Sense your asking, around 30 minutes is good time , I just watched part 2 (2 hour long video) of a 2 video set , it took me a few days to watch it . It’s your channel so I’m good with whatever works for you

I usually only watch YouTube on my TV. But when I commit I'll go to my phone. But do some videos of smaller woodworking projects that sell good. Not to small. But it's whatever you're channel a legit channel. Keep doing what your doing brother

I gotta be real honest here and say that I'm device ignorant as long as you keep the videos coming and keep the humor in them. You do great work and since I'm a beginner myself I learn a lot from your explanations underway and tips. Thank you for (high quality) actual content to break up all the other brain melt otherwise on YouTube. ❤️

Where’s the option for all of the above. I’ll watch all of the content, as long as it’s good, which it always is.

I watch on both. Mobile at work, and TV when I’m home. And as far as length, I like shorter videos, unless it’s a super wide n depth tutorial, then longer works.

Pls don’t do wimpy short videos, what’s the point then?! You’ll end up having to remove details from the content. Others can push pause and watch when they have time. There’s nothing difficult about that, I hate tiktok and insta and if I wanted content in sappy short clips then I’d turn to it but I don’t and I think most serious viewers wanting to seriously learn feel the same. I mean that sincerely as I love your content and am serious about your work as well as the other woodworkers I follow but short attention spans shouldn’t dictate level or quality or length to which you share these builds. Is this an algorithm issue? There might be a simple project that uses pocket hole joinery and doesn’t require thirty minutes and then there are those projects with skill in joinery that require a longer format so I don’t mean in all cases but anytime someone makes shorts for short attention spans the quality is lost and I hate to see that

I usually watch them on the TV and then refer back to them on the phone in the shed.

Prefer videos with music and information to keep my adhd engaged. Good with phone or tv/pc

Short stuff on my phone. Longer stuff I cast to the tv. Also depends what time of day it is, early morning or towards bedtime I’m on my phone.

Can't really answer this. I'm more of a person where if I am watching outside of the home, or there are multiple people up vying for the TV, I will watch on my phone, but if I'm home alone in the evening or on a day off, I will watch on TV.

Hey All! Do you prefer to watch YouTube videos on TV/PC or on a tablet/phone)? And then also.... Do you prefer a topic be covered in one long-form video (>1 hour) or broken up into bite sized chunks(15 or 20 min)? Add any flavor in the comments and.... GO!
