β’ UPDATE (June 2025): Currently, this elevator is being replaced by KONE DX for extending it (adding extra floor above floor 1, and adding a basement of the new elevator).
After 13 years of service, The Gate Mallβs iconic βROUNDEDβ OTIS scenic elevator will sadly be walking in history. Considered as one of the BEST TWO ROUNDED scenic elevators still operating in KUWAIT, both elevators was not only iconic to the mall, but also quite special to me as this was the elevator where I first developed my interest with elevators when I was a kid. Sad to see it will be gone : (
The new elevator is still under replacement, according to βͺ@LiftSpot3052β¬, both elevators will be completed at the end of August 2025.
