All-time favorite. Over the past many years I bought any and everything that had at least one of the Airplane members on it. I seem to recall an album (pretty obscure though) called, I think, Rolling Thunder. If my old mind hasn’t blended songs and albums (I’m in my 70’s) I think there was a tune called Blind John the Guitar Player. Maybe it’s old age creeping in….

60 years ago today, Jefferson Airplane hit the stage for the very first time—live at the Matrix Club in San Francisco! 🎶
Fun fact: before it became a music venue, the Matrix was a pizza joint—until Marty Balin bought it and turned it into something legendary. Teaming up with Paul Kantner, he formed the house band that would soon become Jefferson Airplane.
