My bf’s cat Olive loves a nose boop. If he’s meowing at me while I cook and I reach a finger down for a boop he will jump up and meet me half way for the boop. Hes not even looking for a snack he doesn’t try to grab anything or even sniff for food. Just a boop, then he’s a happy little man. Or a gentle pet from nose to forehead. The look on his little face during petting him there says it all. 😌

I really can’t carry a tune, but all my cats have loved when I sing to them. I pick out some common song and change the words so their name is included in it. Cat delight! 😻

My cat that passed away used to love strawberries. Coming home from the store he smell them through the bag and start rubbing his face on the bag!!😸

Our cats like laying on bags — plastic bags, paper bags, reusable bags — any kind of bag. And anything I'm about to use, they have to lay on. (๑˃‿˂)

Possibly surprising: Mine truly adores belly rubs, you can get stuck petting that belly an entire evening, she never tires of it and unlike every other cat I know or have known, there's no point where she goes into play mode or enough mode and "attacks" your hand. (she's over 20.5 now born in march 2004 and with me since, the belly rub thing started as a kitten.) Her sister used to play fetch and bring back and drop the ball just like a dog. She passed at 17.5 yo from a lifelong heart condition. The cat at my mom's genuinely watches full length cartoons/animation movies as long as there are pets in it. As far as I can judge his top 2 movies of all time right now are Secret life of pets and Oliver & co. Before mom got Stewie I've seen this in shorts but always doubted to what degree a cat might follow a show and for how long. But Stewie proved, at least he, gets a lot more from it than just interesting motion. He'll also lay on his mat in front of tv, paws tucked in like a kid watching sunday morning toons.

I don't let my cat outside because I live in the country that has bobcats. So I bring an armload of leaves into the house for her to roll in and jump in, just like her human siblings. It's hilarious. FYI yes I replace them every couple days.

My cat loves to jump down from the window ledge, straight onto my stomach while I’m fast asleep at 4:30 in the morning, knocking the wind right out of me, and then makes himself comfortable on top of my rib cage with his elbow digging into me. He was a stray who decided to live with me, I took him in and love him dearly, but he’s a goddam bulldozer

My Ditto kitty comes running from the other end of the house, even from a dead sleep, any time I start working with an avocado. I always wipe out the residuals and let him lick it off my finger. He goes nuts for it!

Exploring and/or sitting in boxes, lounging in the sun and open doors throughout the house (including the bathroom door- who cares if you're using the toilet...). All cats I've known have loved these things ;). As for unexpected things: one of our cats when I was a child loved chewing on banana peel- she would regularly knock over the compost bucket to get to the desired peels. My last cat couldn't resist tinned tomatoes - I could leave meat out on a counter no problem, but an open tin of plum tomatoes? No. She would be up on that counter licking up the tomato juice from the tin within 30 seconds 😄. Finally, my current cat master seems to really like the song "mr blue sky" by ELO: she comes running into the room whenever it's playing. Weird but at least she has good taste in music

My sweet Shadow loves to play ball with me 2x daily. She learned to do this pretty fast! She lays on her side when we play, that’s so she can push it with her paw to me! 😻😻
