They want it extremely badly for China to directly interfere. I hope those politicians in China can keep their cool heads even when events make keeping cool heads look very stupid. Those bombs are very cheap prices to pay in bringing down the empire, compared to China’s hard work in the last two or three decades becoming utterly useless and hopeless should China interferes directly.
