USA TODAY

The longest government shutdown in U.S. history has come to an end after 43 days.

President Donald Trump signed legislation on Wednesday night that reopens the federal government and starts to resolve the mass chaos the shutdown created.

Trump's approval came after the House of Representatives voted 222-209 earlier in the evening on a funding package to turn the lights back on, moving past a political mess that has lasted for more than a month and left millions of Americans unable to travel or afford food.

After weeks without pay, hundreds of thousands of government workers will head back to work in the coming days. Under the terms of the funding package, federal employees will be compensated retroactively even though they have not been on the job. www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/11/12/lo…

Great, now release the full Trumpstein files and put him in jail. If he’s not at least complicit in something with them, why is he trying so hard to suppress them?

@FerlandiG

So they create the problems and pat themselves on the back when they "fix" it

How did he read that thing to sign it? I'm not entirely sure he can read. Release the full Epstein Files and impeach him and get him out of the White House. We can and should have snap elections and have a younger, saner president who doesn't feel the need to disappear and demonize people and also starve them. FDJT!

This is what happens if we elect a extremist president. This is why we never had a president that was far right or left before Trump.

@dennismaloney7241

It's disingenuous for the dems to release Epstein emails in the effort to throw shade on their shutdown debacle. Wise up people, the system is failing us and they are using Epstein as a distraction.
