Agreed, they should change the original sight to match imo

It’s definitely something bungie should start maybe looking into

The actual reticle is moved forward and you lose the clunky scope. Looks much better but they should just change the original scope.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this “less zoom” reticle change to the ornament was a bug, kind of like the opposite of Cold Denial’s ornament bug in season 11.

Wow that is a BIZARRE choice in design!! Honestly, I think it probably would've been better to have the Pulse with the Reticle design of the Ornament so its less intrusive, clunky looking & just generally huge! To release it with the mahussive screen filling sight/shape & then literally cut it off & as mentioned it definitely looks like it has lost some zoom even if it hasn't its a definite mind F for people using it! I would say in the long run the Ornament Sights are probably gunna be better so if you can get the Ornament as soon as you can to avoid getting used to the giganto one!

For me, I want clean optics; I would prefer the ornament to the original. I don't think ornaments should so significantly alter the scope, reticle, and silhouette of the weapon as it does affect gun feel imo. This teeters on more than just a visual preference in the wrong way imo.

I feel personally bungie views this as a PVE weapon and as a result less care went into making the reticle super readable, unlike a lot of pvp weapons

TBH I’m surprised reticle design isn’t a concept we are using when we shape weapons.

Bungie loves to dance with that Pay-to-Win line with exotic ornaments. We've already seen it a few times. This is probably the most egregious case though.

I like the ornament much more. I hated that it looked like it took up a large chunk of the screen

The ornament should’ve been the default scope lol. I really don’t like how some ornaments literally feel P2W. Austroraptor for example, makes a whole world of differences for Hawkmoon for me personally.

Easiest solution, the actual model should’ve been the first one.

The ornament looks WAY better. It removes the massive and annoying chunks on the sides and provides a clean and perfectly sized sight that's still stylized and fits the weapon. That's a must-have ornament, just like the Vigilance Wing one.

Don't have the gun yet, but honestly feels like another "Pay to Win" ornament (or at least pay for advantage). You get SO much more awareness while ADS with the ornament than default. I actually prefer the look of the original though, even if it does block a lot of visibility, but I'm sure the ornament is better for situational awareness

I like that it feels like it’s probably more precise. I’m not sure if it actually feels better using it or not but I’d have to use both to try. By looking I prefer the ornament

I bought it. It definitely looks cleaner in game and takes up less screen space. I can’t see any zoom loss, the reticle is just moved.

Even if you can buy every ornament for bright dust, that doesn't mean this doesn't nudge people towards spending real money, as earnable bright dust is limited both by the game and the time you can sink into it. If they add more things that are more necessary by giving advantages like this, people might spend more of their bright dust and see themselves eventually forced to buy silver for some additional ornaments they like because of their looks, that they've run out of bright dust to buy.

I’ve used it a fair bit myself and can safely say the ornament is so much nicer on the eyes

One of outbreaks ornaments changes the dot to a red dot and it makes it feel a lot better to use to me. This is pretty substantial though for sure.

I really don't like this. This is the new Collective Obligation ornament. We have seen ornaments change the reticle a bit at times, but nothing like this. Vigilance wing is the closest to this type of big change. This new one loses about 40% of the total weapon and the reticle lens itself is like half the size. It almost looks like it loses zoom, but it does not. What do you think about this?!?!?
