Oh my gosh thank you for telling us about that new “feature” (I hesitate to even call it that). I noticed white noise on some asmr videos where I’d never heard it before and thought it was odd but would never have guessed YouTube was doing it on purpose!

Thanks for heads up, I’ve been wondering what the deal was with audio lately, though it was just my headphones getting old

I'm not even kidding, the Steampunk Optometrist is and will always be my favorite ASMR series, period. I'm so excited for another installment! 😁

Thanks so much for the tip! And for taking the time to show us where to change the settings. Your videos are works of art and def should be heard as you intended

Oh my gosh!!! I was wondering why so many of my favorite asmrtists suddenly had that loud background noise. I couldn't watch a lot of my subscriptions bc of it. THANK YOU!!!!

This is perhaps one of my favourite series, hope we see more next year!

I thought asmr was just not hitting the same anymore. Becoming drab and honestly a little irritating to listen to at times. I didn't know that "feature" was a thing. It's literally night and day, it fixes exactly what I was experiencing.

Thank you for sharing that! I just switched the settings and it made an immediate difference!

I am so happy you told us about the stable volume. I just listened to the difference and it really ruins the audio! I can’t believe YouTube would do that. Thank you for being the best and looking out for us ❤️

This was so helpful! Hopefully other creators share about this as well because it makes a huge difference

Thank you so much for the information on the stable sound, I had no idea it existed and it really helps! I noticed how loud some asmr videos I watch can be even when I have the volume on low and this immediately fixed that problem. I'll be sure to use this when I watch your videos now and I look forward to your next video!!

Thanks for the audio tip. I’ve been having to turn it all the way up with my headphones to feel the “tingles”

Moonlight Cottage ASMR
EDIT: video is now out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWT8c...
In addition to a vision test, it’s important to keep an eye on your hearing as well 🤓
Your appointment is just around the corner!
Quick note: This will be the last ‘previously seen’ character that I'll be bringing back this year, as I'm making room for new characters at the end of the year!
⚠️ ALSO, important ⚠️ Youtube now has a new feature called ‘stable volume’ which tends to degrade the care taken with audio, particularly for ASMR / meditation, making understated sounds very loud and adding intense white noise in quiet moments. Unfortunately, this feature is enabled by default and I strongly recommend that you disable it in the video settings when watching ASMR videos!
Thank you ❤️
