After a long-running obsession with Flaming Lips’ The Soft Bulletin it was a deep honour and mega treat to go to Tarbox Road Studios in upstate New York and work with our hero Dave Fridmann on these versions of Disconnected and Sovereign Light Café. We released them for Record Store Day back in 2019 and now feels like a good time to make them available to stream as well. Working with Dave was an inspirational experience and these remain two of our favourite Keane recordings. Non-musical highlights of the trip included drinking beer on tap in Dave’s living room and going for accidental really long runs in the snow. We love you Dave.

Strangeland came out when I was living in England and the album (especially Sovereign Light Café) has become the soundtrack of those years. Nostalgia 🥰
