Hi Jan! Have you ever grown the Philodendron Silver Sword? It’s one of my favorites but they are tricky to grow nicely. I was curious if you had any interest in trying one of these or if you have ever grown one? Would love to see one grown in your care if you liked them. It’s a plant you see often where I’m from but not often grown well.. might be good content! 😊 Thank you so much for all you do for the plant community. Hi to Bradels

I missed the deadline 😢 Perhaps you can suggest a tutorial you’ve already done that I could reference. I’m new to aroids and beyond excited to dive in. I can’t wrap my head around planting cuttings on a moss pole. I’m experimenting with a pothos. Do I need to wait until the cuttings have established significant root growth or can I attach the cuttings once they have developed healthy robust roots 🤗 The cuttings have been in a water solution coming up to a month soon. Thanks Jan 🫶

Just wondering if the maranta in your outdoor garden comes back each spring or do you replant. Love tropicals in the outdoor garden!!

A phylosophical question. Hard to phrase it in english for me but I will try. Is growing out of your apartments conditions for plants is a thing? Let me explain. I am living 5th year in the same apartment. The year cycle is the same (light, warmth, humidity etc.) Lately I feel like my plants have reached their max potential that they can do in terms of growth in this apartment. It feels like they just stay the the same size and just flourish. Not like they are not growing. We did multiple chop n extends. The leafs are mega big. But we (plants&I) cant seem able to do the next big step in evolving, upsising etc. Any ideas on this.

As a new grower to the indoor plant hobby, what would you recommend are habits you knew sooner or wished you knew starting out?

Do you rotate pest treatments as the insects become immune to particular treatments after a while?

What philodendron would you recommend for beginners

Will amount of light (ie too much affect the color of a velvet philodendron?) My melanocrysum , el choco red and verrucosum don’t seem as dark as yours. They are still fairly young (6-8 months old) , under T5 Barina lights and in a grow tent.

Have you heard of using Banana fiber as a soil amendment rather than coco coir or peat moss? Just attended the Dallas Plant Con and there’s a product called Banana Bloom that’s really interesting as an alternative

Have you ever had mealybugs in your plants? And if so, how do you treat them? I don't think you mentioned them when you talked about pests in your collection. but I could be wrong🤔 By the way, love seeing how you and Brad interact♥️ how old is he

Very nice your philodendron verrucosum. Can you tell us about fertilizing and how often you fertilize?

I have a silver sword that has four plants in the pot. Only one of them has reached the top of the second pole. Could I just chop the tallest one and it will reshoot further down the pole while the others catch up before I have to extend? Thanks!! (We have VIP tickets to your US trip. Super excited!)

@melmac5173

Do you find that your large leafed moss poles drop more lower leaves because it’s too hard for them to sustain all the leaves with the limited resources?💚

Will there ever be a philodendron lupinum in your collection? The transition from juvenile to mature form would be so cool to see.
