heute vor 6 Jahren, am 14.10.2016 habe ich mich entschieden diesen Kanal zu gründen. Seit 6 Jahren versuche ich hier auf YouTube ein Videoarchiv für alle je erschienen First Person Games zu erstellen. Am Anfang hab ich ehrlich gesagt selber kaum geglaubt mehr als 500 Abonnenten zu bekommen. Jetzt fehlen noch 50 und wir sind bei 4000!!!! Natürlich gibt es Leute, die scherzen und der Meinung sind, 4000 Abonnenten in 6 Jahren wäre nicht viel. Für mich ist es viel… viel mehr als ich je erwartet hätte.

Zudem habe ich mein Logo etwas upgegradet. Der liebe YouTuber @MinBekker (der übrigens der Programmierer von dem First Person Game „Black Bekker“ ist) hat mir ein neues HoFPG Logo im DOOM Style designet, dieses sitzt nun wie eine neue Krone auf der Spitze der Pyramide. Das Auge und den Schriftzug „Hall of First Person Games“ habe ich ebenfalls etwas geändert.
Der eine oder andere erinnert sich vielleicht noch, dass Anfangs fast täglich Videos kamen und mittlerweile schaffe ich 1 Video alle 2 Wochen. Das liegt daran, dass sich bei mir Privat einiges geändert hat und mir Zeit und Kraft fehlt. Dieses ganze Projekt betreibe ich ja als privates Hobby. Dennoch habe ich einen festen Willen, dieses Projekt zu beenden. Im Moment etwas langsamer, aber auch dies wird sich sicherlich wieder ändern.
Bei den Walkthroughs ist es im Moment so, dass ich immer ein größeres Projekt am Laufen habe und kleinere neben her. Ein großes habe ich jetzt erst abgeschlossen und muss es noch bearbeiten. Dies dauert einfach wie bereits erwähnt zurzeit etwas länger. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Game aus der Mitte 90er, von dem es noch kein Walkthrough dazu gibt und es war wirklich Bock schwer!!! Das nächste größere Projekt wird ein Stealth Shooter aus dem Anfang der 2000er.
Ich habe diesmal ein kleines persönliches Fazit dazu geschrieben und überlege, ob ich mich eventuell selber mal vor die Kamera setzte und meine Erfahrung als Gamer für Gamer zu erzählen. Allerdings ist das nur eine Idee und ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich es so umsetzten werde. Gut möglich ist auch einfach eine weitere Textvariante wie ich es bisher immer veröffentlicht hatte. Solche Videos werden dann allerdings nur als End Fazit zu Walkthroughs kommen. Die Gameplay Videos selber bleiben ohne Kommentar. Eure Meinung dazu würde mich sehr interessieren.

6 years ago today, on 10/14/2016 I decided to create this channel. For 6 years I've been trying to create a video archive for all First Person Games ever released here on YouTube. In the beginning I honestly didn't believe to get more than 500 subscribers. Now we are missing 50 and we are at 4000!!!! Of course there are people who joke and think that 4000 subscribers in 6 years is not much. For me it is a lot...much more than I ever expected.
I THANK EVERY SINGLE ONE of you for all your support!!!
Also, I upgraded my logo a bit. The dear YouTuber @MinBekker (who by the way is the programmer of the First Person Game "Black Bekker") designed me a new HoFPG logo in DOOM style, this now sits like a new crown on top of the pyramid. I also changed the eye and the lettering "Hall of First Person Games" a bit.
One or the other may remember that in the beginning I had videos almost every day and now I manage 1 video every 2 weeks. This is due to the fact that my private life has changed a lot and I lack time and energy. This whole project I run as a private hobby. Nevertheless, I have a firm will to finish this project. At the moment a bit slower, but this will surely change again.
With the walkthroughs it is at the moment in such a way that I always have a larger project at the running and smaller beside it. One big one I just finished and still have to work on it. As already mentioned, this takes a little longer at the moment. It is a game from the mid 90s, of which there is no walkthrough yet and it was really hard!!! The next bigger project will be a stealth shooter from the early 2000s.
This time I wrote a little personal summary about it and I'm thinking about maybe sitting in front of the camera myself and telling my experience as a gamer for gamers. However, this is just an idea and I'm not sure if I will implement it that way. It's also possible that I'll just publish another text version like I did before. Such videos will then only come as an end conclusion to walkthroughs. The gameplay videos themselves will remain without comment. I would be very interested in your opinion.
