THE EXORCIST, something about its absolute sense of damnation with that touch of real-world religion makes it quite unsettling. The soundtrack is also fantastic as i remember listening to it as a teenager on an end of the dial radio station on Halloween at midnight back in 1981. Another three favorites to watch on Halloween night is HELL NIGHT also with Linda Blair along with THE EVIL DEAD and CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS.
