On my must watch list - obviously history is interconnected , Raegan himself being a product of Falwell silent majority electioneering and Clinton being poised for his center right politics by a party who left New Deal policies behind after/because of Jimmy Carter leaving Clinton and his ilk to rise to power with Law & Order as a cornerstone, as well as whipping bi-partisan support.l to shore up institutional power. Cant wait to see your vid, a lot of dominos got us here today and so many decisions / consequences can be easily forgotten / displaced from the actions of those that set us up in the first place because it was a few decades back. Feels like I’m seeing in real time the effects of W Bush era politics being discussed less and less as the breeding ground for where we are with ICE today + instead there exists a recency bias that’s easy to fall into intuitively. Same as Clinton was the domino that was the result of both Carter and Reagan who then setup the ground for Bush and George W to win, I think that ironically they’ve played the hand too hard and too fast in a country that would be hard to coup in the first place and are instead creating the grounds for a legit re-emergence of New Deal politics which will hopefully sweep the nation sooner than later as Center Democrat voters and politicians continuously lose to more progressive challengers
