Tomorrow is The Big Day Where This Beast Stretches Her Legs From 25MPH - 75MPH on test runs from Swanage - Southall & Back! I Will Hopefully Be Spotting Her At Virginia Water & Either Bramley Hampshire Or Twyford this is a big moment for me as I have know this engine almost all my life. The First Time We came to the purbecks I was 4 and we were At Norden Station Waiting For a train. At that time I had no clue that steam locos still survived to this day but, from round the bend was a tender of a steam loco. I had never seen such a thing like it. It Crept into the station Slowly With 4 blood & custard mk1s. I got a glimpse of her front end and got excited as she passed me at around 10mph arriving into the station. We Waited for the loco to loop around and headed to the top of Norden Station Where Out behind the mk1s 34028 Eddystone appeared looking stunning! At the time I was only small so I was a bit scared due to the fierce size of it. But The Driver said 'Would you like to look in the cab?' My dad said yes and I just nodded my head. My dad carries me into the cab of her and I see the belly of the beast glowing throughout the entire cab. My dad puts me in the drivers seat and I didn't think much at the time but no think it was probably epic. Then out of know where they asked if one of us would like to blow the whistle so my dad lifted me up and I grabbed the circular handle of the chain and I lightly pulled it and blew my first ever whistle. That is why 34028 Eddystone is my Favourite Steam loco & Why The Swanage Railway Is my favourite Railway from that Moment Thanks for Reading TRMG
