Imagine you're out at night and you hear a baby's cry or a woman's scream that's just not quite human. You'd freak tf out too, because that's probably a bobcat.

imagine you’re out with the homies, wandered off a bit too much and try ti do a headcount on your group then an extra voice joins in

The fact that humans can mimic some animal vocalizations is absolutely terrifying if you think about it. To those coyotes, something just mimicked them and they could tell, so they shut tf up. Howling with your dog is different because they know you're safe and not a threat. Not wild animals.

Imagine if you're talking with your buds and some wolf comes at you trying to make human noises, you'd be freaked too

“Okay guys, let’s do a head count.” “I’m here.” “I’m here too.” “I’m over here.” “I̷̪͑’̴̜͒m̶͇̎ ̴̘͊h̷̼̀e̸͈͗r̷̤̄e̷̬̓” “WTF was that?”

The coyotes tell tales of him, the fur walker, a creature wearing the fur of coyotes and howling in the night

I mean, imagine you’re out camping with your buddies, laughing and having a good time. Then, from somewhere not that far away, you hear something laughing … but it’s not quite right. It doesn’t sound like a noise that came from a human, it sounds like something imitating a human. That is to say, when we do this kind of shit, we are the skinwalkers.

Every time a dog barks or howls at me, I do it right back to assert dominance. I am not even kidding. It's fun seeing their reactions.

Haha reminds me of my pawpaw and me sitting on the porch swing calling the coyotes across the pasture. They'd come up and hang with us several times a week, staying just on the edge of the shadows and "sing" with us. 😂

Imagine you're outside at night singing and you hear something out there in the dark making the most fucked up, inhuman sounding imitation of your song, you're telling me you won't stop and freeze?

Love how the comments are split between "the coyotes rejected you" and "you were a coyote skinwalker"

I learned to imitate them so well I could get every pack in my area howling. Then they'd start moving towards each other like I set off the party alarm. Then they'd get all the dogs in town going and it was hours of pure chaos. I'd keep hiking and occasionally call while they went looking for me like a giant game of hide and seek. I quit it after they got too close one night... I realized I didn't want to be the only human for miles surrounded by 50+ excited/confused Coyotes.

Nah dude, that’s the same as hearing someone calling at you in the forest but it doesn’t sound right. Then coyotes experienced some skin Walker shit
