We also need to consider that in future when EVs become mainstay and subsidy goes down.. then cost of EV will be equal to or more than running cost of ICE vehicles

I have a Tiago EV. With home charge cost per Km is less than INR 1 in Delhi. Are the daily utility/ Gurudwara/ Grocery/ school/ park/ Gym runs considered which are typically ~1 Km one way ? ICE cars guzzle money there. Also EVs have much better power delivery and Automatic (Comfort) as compared to AMT. However the highway runs of more than 100 Km one way are challenging !

Tata Tiago is the best car for the city and highway β€οΈ Normal petrol gives 34 to 38 mpl and CNG can give up to 47- 48 Tiago.ev max range in real life is 291 to 300 max ( people who own Tiago in Goa get the above mileage and range)

2 points wanted to highlight regarding the price gap, 1. XZA and XZ+ Lux should not be the same variant 2. If we compare on-road prices, the gap will reduce drastically

Per unit cost for AC & DC charging is kept very high Statiq DC charging cost 21βΉ with GST and Home Charging per unit is around 7βΉ

Let's say 5yrs is an average for cost recovery based on 2000kms per month running. Later those 5yrs you'll get the benifits of that ev. Which means after 5yrs you'll start saving on fuel. Then the odo would be around 1.2L Kms. The battery needs to be replaced around that time for low charging capacity. Also the loan interest amount would be higher bcz I've bought an expensive car instead of a cheaper CNG option. Don't forget the range anxiety and I've not included the maintenance charges. If you have rats around your locality then it would cost you another car to repair π and no privilege of local repairs just in case. basically there is no comparision between an ICE and EV unless you want it for a specific reason

The running cost implications for CNG vs DC Fast Charging is practically the same. However if you're considering CNG vs Home Charging, then please consider time wastage as well. Because it takes forever to charge 10 to 100% on Home Charging alone. Have you considered the time wastage as a value in the calculation?

As pointed out by someone in replies, I somehow misread 3k as 30k. So, apologies to the channel and the following comment doesn't make sense don't read it. In your fourth slide, the price diff is what you show it is only if charged at HOME. If the car has a 200 range on a full charge and we need to cover 30k km per month, that's 1k km per day. Even if we drive at 100km/h it takes 10hrs to complete the 1k km journey so that's already 10hr gone out of 24hrs in a day. And since we are covering 1k km per day and the range is 200 kms, we are supposed to charge 5 times 0-100% to get a 1k km range. As you gave the price per km if charged home then the time it takes to charge 1 full battery at home is 9 hrs that is 45hrs for 5 cycles! And a day only has 24hrs out of which 10hr are gone for driving so only 14hrs are remaining to charge. Even if we consider ARAI range of 250kms then we need to charge 4 times so 36hrs. The point is it's impossible to break even in 3yrs unless you are getting DC fast charging at home charging rate. So I feel this post is misleading.
