Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse

Tunecore, my aggregator, isn't letting me upload 100 song albums anymore. So to get my stuff on streaming services in a way that doesn't bug me out, I need to chop up existing albums. Problem is, I want my Bandcamp (BC) discography to be reflected in the streaming discography. Doing that means changing BC up significantly.

So here's my options:

1. Chop up the Bandcamp albums into smaller bits
2. Have different albums on streaming platforms with the same music

Unfortunately the streaming albums are never going to be as cost effective as BC albums now, because of this. But it's whatever. I assume the BC listeners are different than the Streaming listeners so maybe its not an issue? Anyway, help me out. Thanks.

I literally fall asleep to this stuff and instantly dream / your music helps me navigate my dreams a bit better - I usually listen to your stuff on here and idk do what’s best for your channel and helps you get views or subscribers - just stay consistent

I don't understand a single word you're talking about. Your material is epic, I'll take whatever I can get. It's my sleep music, thank you for altering my dream challenges.

I almost never use BC so I abstain the vote. I really like your work and have purchased a lot of it on iTunes even though I mainly listen to it here on YT.

Is that why the "All tomorrows caskets" video (in my opinion, one of the best on the channel) disappeared?

Split the non-BC versions into parts ("Album Name, Part I") and leave the BC versions the same.

Is renaming the albums on Bandcamp an option? So it'd be "[Album name] - Part 1" and "[Album name] - Part 2" for streaming, and "[Album name] - Part 1 & 2" on Bandcamp. As for audience overlap, this is just anecdotal, but I mostly stream these days. I'd love to buy more stuff directly, but money is tight, I'm on a family plan for streaming, and buying stuff I can stream "for free" just isn't in the cards right now. So what I can stream, I don't buy directly at the moment, and wouldn't notice any differences.

Second option, no way. They are different media (download and streaming), so better take the better from both, but respecting the nature of the music projects

I'm a yt and spotify only man, so whatever gets it on spotify is good enough for me.

Can't albums have multiple "CDs"? Wouldn't you be able to use that workaround? Or the limit is per entire album and doesn't matter, how many "CDs" are there?

@WillyKillya

I'm a YouTube listener, so if you consider that streaming then I want whatever keeps that consistent.

Bandcamp: Album Name, 1 album. Tunecore: Album Name PART 1, Album Name PART 2. 2 albums, same name as BC

@TurningSeasonWithin

IMO go for consistency, why not same album name but released as parts 1-4 or however many you’ll need? Side note, I usually use YouTube to listen to you but I’ve listened to what’s on Spotify and the songs are weirdly short, the whole album should be one song, I love the daunting breadth of your dark ambience

@galu060

Can't you just have an BC album in parts on a streaming platform, like <Title> part 1, 2, 3... So it will be consistent with original BC content and on the streaming people will have to combine separate parts into a single playlist. You can even do such playlists yourself

@aryyahuwilliams-me1mz

isnt there a service that you can use that is like tunecore where you can continue to do what you have done on bandcamp? im sure there would be. cos this is the internet. google alternative to tunecore and see what you come up with. hope the situation gets solved.

Isn't the third secret option to switch to another aggregator?

@charliedemosmusic

Bandcamp will forever be niche and limited. The good and the bad. I’m in favor of you splitting the albums up and releasing that way. More content, consistency and easiest for fans to follow and purchase.
