The sushumna, Ida, and pingala nadis are the three primary energy channels, playing a crucial role in pranayama and kundalini yoga 🧬🧘🏻♀️
Sushumna is the central energy channel, running along the spine from the base (muladhara chakra❤️) to the crown (Sahasrara chakra💜). Kundalini energy rises through it.
Ida nadi is associated with the left side of the body and left nostril and right side of the brain. It has a cooling, lunar energy.
Pingala nadis runs along the right side of the body and right nostril and connects to the left hemisphere of the brain. It is warming, solar energy.
Pranayama practices such as Nadi Shodhana, alternate nostril breathing) help balance Ida and pingala, allowing prana (life force energy) to flow freely.
In Kundalini yoga, practices such as movement, mantra, bandhas, breathwork, and meditation awaken kundalini energy, guiding it up the sushumna.
When this energy reaches the crown, it leads to higher consciousness and enlightenment 🧘🏾♂️🌟🪷
