As someone who is generally pessimistic about Nintendo’s updates, I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that GBA is coming to NSO+ Expansion Pack this year. Considering the fact that GBA game emulation has been professionally executed on other Nintendo devices, and because Nintendo has been testing GBA game emulation on the Switch (at least that’s what has been rumored), my gut tells me that at least a small library of GBA games are coming to their subscription service this year. That said, I’m convinced that the addition is going to increase the price of the service notably.

I think we definitely will. Every year since NSO came out we've gotten something new around september. NES in 2019, SNES in 2020, N64/Genesis in 2021, and now we're in 2022. Something's happening

Nintendo needs more base tier content. I would put GB and GBC on base tier and GBA on Expansion tier.

If they add something, it might be GB/GBC/GBA. All three w/o expansion pass, which would be a decent pro-consumer choice. With expansion pass, I could see them doing Gamecube.

I am hoping this year we get the GB family systems. Nintendo has the emulator ready, we're just waiting for them to drop it on NSO

Any of those would be great. Service was worth it for me already with some classics

Nintendo could easily make all is fans so happy but they continue to string us along. Thanks Nintendo 😊

They need to focus on adding more N64 games first before adding another console’s library. The extremely limited selection they currently have still doesn’t warrant the $50 price tag in my opinion.

They better add something cause what we have is not enough to justify that price

I’m hoping it’ll be both, but Nintendo didn’t give us all the much evidence about this happening.

GBC/GBA should be so easy to do. It’s a bit of a disgrace that they charged £50 a year to drop 1 N64 game a month…. I expected so much more 👎

How cool would it be if they made a n64 classic like the snes and nes ones

The idea of Nintendo putting Gamecube on NSO is laughable. Maybe for the next generation, but not now.

As someone who grew up with a GameCube and not a Game Boy, my answer is obvious.

I really don't care, I'll keep not paying for a service that doesn't offer me something better or more practical that piracy.

SwitchForce
What do you think Nintendo will add to Switch Online this year?
